We believe in honouring diversity in all aspects of what we do. We are committed not only to providing excellent teaching and support to a diverse population of birthing people, but also celebrating diverse birthing experiences. A good birth, is a birth where you felt you were an empowered and active agent and your birth did not happen “to you.” There is no hierarchy where one type of birth is more valued than another. We believe that listening to your body while staying flexible towards special circumstances is a beautiful way to approach birth. All birthing people deserve to feel cared for and listened to. Empowered birth is for EVERYONE. We need to advocate for better birthing and care for all birthing people and their babies. We feel called to speak out when we see injustice in the birthing world, and to be active agents of change. Birth justice is social justice.

We believe that all birthing people deserve to be treated with respect and reverence. Bringing new life into this world? It changes you. You deserve to be heard and supported in the ways that resonate with you. We are here for you and support you to advocate for yourself and your baby. You matter. Your experience matters.
